HELP M.A.D.E. MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Full Description:
Thanks to a Sunday afternoon benefit by Make A Difference Entertainment, the Southport Interchurch Food Pantry will be provide food to the needy during the holiday season.
Christmas Present, an original screenplay by Southport native Randy Jones, will be presented at 4 p.m. at the Southport Community Building by Wilmington author and humor columnist Celia Rivenbark.
The event is entirely free to the public, and donations of nonperishable food are encouraged. A dessert and coffee reception will follow the reading, provided by Carillon Assisted Living of Southport.
Make A Difference Entertainment, or M.A.D.E., was founded two years ago by Jones, the Southport director of tourism, with a mission to develop and produce entertainment programs that would help provide funding for non-profit organizations in the area.
